Michael Clark was born on May 29, 1962 in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland as Michael Duncan Clark. He is known for his work on Prospero's Books (1991), The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover (1989) and Comrades (1986).
He was awarded the CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2014 Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to Dance. He is the founder of the Michael Clark Company in in London, England.
