Russell Myers (born 1938) is an American cartoonist best known for his newspaper comic strip Broom-Hilda.Born in Pittsburg, Kansas, Myers was raised in Oklahoma where his father taught at Tulsa University. Myers was interested in cartooning from an early age. After his first submission for syndication failed, he began working for Hallmark Cards in 1960 as an illustrator of greeting cards. He continued to submit comic strip concepts in his free time.
