Max Parker (12 July 1882 – 8 July 1964) was an American art director. He was nominated for an Academy Award in the category Best Art Direction for the film George Washington Slept Here. He worked on 86 films between 1916 and 1947.He was born in Prescott, Arizona, and died in Torrance, California.
Art director, in films from 1916. Spent the best part of his career at Warner Brothers (1928-31, and 1935-47). Did his best work on black & white gangster movies, notably Each Dawn I Die (1939) and The Roaring Twenties (1939). Briefly at Fox (1933-35).
