Mark Ray (born 2 October 1952 in Surry Hills, New South Wales) is a former Australian first-class cricket player, who played for New South Wales in the 1981/82 season, before moving to Tasmania, where he played for Tasmania from 1982/83 until he retired in 1985/86. He also captained Tasmania on 5 occasions, becoming the 40th captain to lead the Tasmanian side.A left-handed middle-order batsman, and slow left arm orthodox bowler, he was a capable all-rounder.

In 2006, Mark project managed the move of BBC Birmingham Drama into its new home at the Drama Village based at the University of Birmingham, U.K. BBC TV drama productions such as 'Dalziel & Pascoe', 'Doctors', 'Father Brown', 'Land Girls' and 'The Afternoon Play' have been produced out of the Drama Village.
