Joe Sedelmaier (born May 31, 1933, in Orrville, Ohio]) was a director and producer of television commercials. He began his career as an Art Director for the advertising agencies Young and Rubicam and J. Walter Thompson.Sedelmaier opened his own film production studio in 1967, committing himself exclusively to the use of humor (“A spot is something you watch when you sit down to watch something else—you should at least be entertained”).He built an international reputation with spots such as the FedEx “Fast Talking Man” and Wendy’s “Where’s the Beef”.
