Dave Niehaus was born on February 19, 1935 in Princeton, Indiana, USA as David Arnold Niehaus. He was a director and actor, known for Sweet 116: The 2001 Seattle Mariners History Making Season (2001), Bleacher Boys (2009) and My Oh My! (1996). He was married to Marilyn Niehaus. He died on November 10, 2010 in Bellevue, Washington, USA.
Won the 2008 Ford C. Frick Award, given annually to a baseball broadcaster by the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

Prior to 1996 when he had to take a leave of absence for health reasons, Neihaus had broadcast every single game for the Seattle Mariners except for two games; To attend his son's high school and college graduations.
