Arthur Robison (25 June 1883 – 20 October 1935) was a German film director and screenwriter of the silent era. He directed 20 films between 1916 and 1935.
American-born, of German-Jewish background. He was brought up in Germany and studied medicine at the University of Munich. Practised as a doctor, before entering films in 1914 as writer/director. Best known for the nightmarish Schatten - Eine nächtliche Halluzination (1923), an early masterpiece of German expressionist cinema.
