I think Seattle has to be the best city to watch films. It's such a sophisticated audience. The audience here really understands and loves film.

In 2001, the script for Saving Face (2004) won the CAPE (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment) screenwriting award. It was inspired by her own experiences coming out as a gay woman.
