Linda Christian (November 13, 1923 – July 22, 2011) was a Mexican film actress, who appeared in Mexican and Hollywood films. Her career reached its peak in the 1940s and 1950s. She played Mara in the last Johnny Weissmuller Tarzan film, Tarzan and the Mermaids (1948). She is also noted for being the first Bond girl, appearing in a 1954 television adaptation of the James Bond novel Casino Royale. In 1963 she starred in an episode of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour, "An Out for Oscar".
Former mother-in-law of William Greendeer, Norman Seeff and Tony Fox Sales and Albano. Grandmother of Ylenia Carrisi, Yari Carrisi, Cristel and Romina Carrisi Power (Romina's children); Tai Dawn Seeff, Anthony Tyrone Sales, Valentina Fox Sales and Stella Bianca Greendeer (Taryn's children).

In his autobiography "My Wicked, Wicked Ways" Errol Flynn says he met Linda Welter in a Mexico City bar and took her to Acapulco. She told him she had never been to the US and wanted to go. He offered a contract and, after she got to Hollywood, paid Dr. Bill Wallace to fix her teeth. Flynn had once played Fletcher Christian, and changed her name to Linda Christian.

During the late 1940s she roomed with Ruth Roman and five other aspiring actresses. They called the residence "The House of Seven Garbos.".
