Bill Anders was born on October 17, 1933 in Hong Kong as William Alison Anders. He is known for his work on Failure Is Not an Option (2003), Secrets of the Moon Landings (2007) and The Restorers (2003). He has been married to Valerie Hoard Anders since 1955. They have six children.
On Apollo 8 he flew with Jim Lovell and Frank Borman becoming the first men to leave earth orbit and circle the moon. They made a memorable Christmas Eve television broadcast showing the lunar surface and reading from the first chapter of Genesis.
