First met her husband, Welshman Gary Irving, in a surfboard shop in California. He was an employee there and she bought a surfboard from him. They later married in Swansea, Wales (United Kingdom), where Irving had been raised.
Was cast in the role of Addie Pray in Paper Moon (1973), with her real father, Paul Newman, cast as her on-screen father, but both dropped out of the cast when a new director was chosen for the project.
