Mogens Rukov is a Danish screenwriter and playwright. He achieved a university degree in Nordic philology and film in 1974. After that he became a teacher of the screenwriting department at the National Film School of Denmark, Copenhagen. His efforts to shape new generations of Danish screenwriters are much-respected. He has also written or co-written several screenplays himself and functioned as a consultant on countless other films.
There is a striking resemblance between Mogens Rukov and the character "Selkoff" in the Danish movie "De unge år: Erik Nietzsche sagaen del 1 (2007)", which portrays Lars von Triers time at the Danish Film School.
