Jerry S. Parr (born September 16, 1930, in Montgomery, Alabama) is a retired Secret Service Agent. He was one of the agents protecting President Reagan on the day of his assassination attempt on March 30, 1981.
When former Secret Service agent Jerry Parr was nine years old, his father took him to see the movie Code of the Secret Service (1939) starring Ronald Reagan. The film inspired young Jerry to become a Secret Service agent, and he was credited with saving Reagan's life during the 1981 assassination attempt.

Secret Service agent credited with saving the life of then-President Ronald Reagan after Reagan was shot by John Hinckley on March 30, 1981. Parr retired from the Secret Service in 1985, and became an ordained minister.
