Douglas L. Wilson (born November 10, 1935) is a professor and co-director of Lincoln Studies Center at Knox College.Wilson is the George A. Lawrence Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus of English at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois. He co-directs the Lincoln Studies Center along with his colleague Rodney O. Davis.Wilson is also a two-time winner of the Lincoln Prize for Lincoln's Sword: The Presidency and the Power of Words, published in November 2006, as well as Honor's Voice in 1999.In the middle of his academic career, Wilson spent four years serving as the Founding Director of the Robert H. Smith International Center for Jefferson Studies at the Thomas Jefferson Foundation (Monticello), in Charlottesville, Virginia, before returning to Knox College.
