Drew Nieporent is a Nyc restaurateur. His firm Myriad Restaurant Group owns and manages numerous eateries, a lot of which are famous for his or her celebrity clientele, as well as sometimes star co-owners. Many are famous for his or her trouble in getting bookings. In a interview with “Cigar Aficionado”, Nieporent remembered turning down Henry Kissinger. The eateries’ associates are star chef Nobu Matsuhisa and performer Robert De Niro.
Within the last 26 years, Myriad has opened and managed over 35 eateries all over the world, including Seattle, Louisville, Providence, Boca Raton, London, Moscow, Citi Field, house of the New York Mets in Flushing, Ny. Most recently, Myriad helped to open The Daily Hamburger at Madison Square Garden. In 1978, he started his management career with Warner Le Roy at NYC ‘s Maxwell’s Plum and Tavern on the Green. Then he worked in the esteemed French eateries Le Prigord, La Grenouille and Plaza Athenee’s Le Regence. Nieporent’s first eatery, the groundbreaking Montrachet (1985), earned three stars from The New York Times and kept that standing for 21 years. Both Nieporent and Liebrandt are featured in a present HBO documentary A Matter of Taste. In 1994, again with partner Robert De Niro and sushi master Nobu Matsuhisa, Drew found Nobu New York City to world-wide acclaim. Nobu NYC was voted Best Restaurant in The United States by The James Beard Foundation. Nobu has gone on to open eateries in most areas of the planet.
