Christopher Poole Bio/Wiki, Net Worth, Married 2018
Christopher Poole (born c. 1988) is an American web entrepreneur from New York City, noted for founding the sites 4chan and Sailcloth. He initially began 4chan anonymously, under the pseudonym moot (consistently written with lower case).
In 2008, Leopoldo Godoy of Brazilian TV Globo called Poole’s 4chan “the ground zero of Western internet culture.” The results were challenged even before the survey finished, as automated voting software and manual ballot stuffing were used to help determine the vote. 4chan’s interference with the vote appeared increasingly likely, when it had been found that reading the initial letter of the first 21 nominees in the survey spelled out a phrase including two 4chan memes: “Marblecake. In addition, The Game.” In this discussion, Poole largely credited this to the anonymous apparatus, also to the dearth of information retention on the website (“The website does not have any memory.”).
