Vasil Uładzimiravič Bykaŭ (Belarusian: Васі́ль Уладзі́міравіч Бы́каў, (June 19, 1924 – June 22, 2003) was a prolific author of novels and novellas about World War II, is a monumental figure in Belarusian literature and civic thought.
