William Bakewell was born on May 2, 1908 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was an actor, known for Gone with the Wind (1939), All Quiet on the Western Front (1930) and West Point (1927). He was married to Diane Griffths and Jennifer Holt. He died on April 15, 1993 in Los Angeles.
During World War II, served in the U.S. Army as Second Lieutenant, stationed at the 73rd Evacuation Hospital and at the The Radio Section of the Special Service Division.
