Herbert Warren was born in 1878 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. He was an editor and actor, known for The Butcher Boy (1917), The Bell Boy (1918) and The Rough House (1917). He was married to Valerie Bergere. He died on January 27, 1940 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA.
Warren led a varied life in show business. He first trod the boards in vaudeville and then as a film editor/gag editor (primarily with The Comique Film Company in California) before switching gears and reverting to acting in New York after 1918. He varied between roles in 14 Broadway productions from 1929- 1936 while occasionally appearing in a handful of Brooklyn-produced Vitaphone shorts (briefly reuniting with ex-Comique star Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle). Warren retired altogether at age 57 in 1936 and died in 1940.
