Eddie Lawson (born (1958-03-11)March 11, 1958 in Upland, California) is a former four-time Grand Prix motorcycle racing World Champion. His penchant for not crashing and consistently finishing in the points earned him the nickname "Steady Eddie".
Now enjoys retirement living in Lake Havasu, Arizona, racing shifter go-karts with friend and fellow Hall of Famer Wayne Rainey. [2005]

Was considered to be part of the "Golden Era" of motorcycling racing, the late 80s and the early 90s which included Wayne Gardner, Kevin Schwantz, Mick Doohan, and Wayne Rainey. All of them had great skills which made for some vary memorable moments.

Won the prestigious Suzuka Eight Hour race in Japan in 1990 with team-mate Tadahiko Taira.
