Candace Bushnell Bio/Wiki, Net Worth, Married 2018

Candace Bushnell (created December 1, 1958) is an American novelist and television producer located in NYC. The novel was the foundation for the HBO hit show “Sex and the City” (1998–2004) and two following films. Two of her novels are adapted for television: “Lipstick Jungle” (2008–09) on NBC, and “The Carrie Diaries” (since 2013) on the CW.

At age 19, Bushnell moved to NYC and sold a children’s story to Simon & Schuster, that was never printed. She continued composing and worked as a freelance journalist for assorted publications, fighting to make ends meet for a long time. Bushnell started composing for the New York Observer in 1993. She created a funny column for the newspaper, which appeared from 1994 through 1996. Called “Sex and the City,” the column was based on her personal relationship experiences and the ones of her buddies. In 1997, Bushnell’s columns were printed within an anthology, also called Sex and the City, and shortly after became the basis for the popular HBO television series sharing the exact same name. The show is currently in syndication and was accommodated for and made into two motion pictures, released in 2008 and 2010. Bushnell started hosting a live weekly talk show on Sirius Satellite Radio in 2007. The show, called “Sex, Success and Sensibility,” was canceled in late 2008 after the amalgamation of Sirius and XM Satellite Radio, when Bushnell was requested to continue the show having a 50% pay cut. She refused. She’s the winner of the 2006 Matrix Award for publications (other winners include Joan Didion and Amy Tan), and a receiver of the Albert Einstein Spirit of Achievement Award. She composed and created a web series, The Broadroom, starring Jennie Garth, which started in September 2009. She’s presently at work on Killing Monica, which is in bookstores in March 2015.
