1For over four decades, Peter Gabriel has been one of the most revered British musicians, an artist of the first rank. Ever since the groundbreaking days with Genesis, he's also been at the forefront of the world music movement, he's been an activist for Amnesty International for very many years and he's behind a fascinating organisation called simply The Elders.
2[on Florence and the Machine] One of the biggest and brightest bands in British music.
3The BBC is not impartial or neutral. It's a publicly funded, urban organisation with an abnormally large number of young people, ethnic minorities and gay people. It has a liberal bias not so much a party-political bias. It is better expressed as a cultural liberal bias.
