Trude Mostue (born 28 March 1968) is a Norwegian celebrity veterinary surgeon and television presenter. She was born in Oslo, Norway, grew up in Siggerud, lived for many years in the United Kingdom, but now resides in Norway. In 1996 she became well known after appearing in the BBC docu-soap Vet School, and the subsequent Vets in Practice. Since the end of the series in 2002, she has appeared in a variety of British documentaries relating to animals, and presented the wildlife programmes Vets in the Wild and Britain's Worst Pets, as well as appearing on such programmes as Holiday and Through the Keyhole. In 2006 she appeared in Skal vi danse, the Norwegian version of Strictly Come Dancing. She is now the co-owner, with a friend, of a veterinary clinic in Norway. She became engaged to Howard Thomas in 2001 and they had three children together, Frøya Molly (born 2002), Erik Delme (born 2003) and Hilda Nellie (born 2005). She split from Thomas in October 2006.
My father used to travel abroad and would buy me lots of bright, exotic-looking dolls. I usually managed to cut off all their hair within days.

When I was about eight I used to steal my older sister Hilde's clothes and make-up. She'd lock me in a drawer under my bed as punishment!
3
As a poor student I bought my then boyfriend £200 worth of gift vouchers, but he wasn't too appreciative and quickly became an ex.
4
All my friends had pocket money when I was young but I only got cash when I needed it. When I was five, one of my friends asked if I was rich, but when I asked my parents they just said we were rich in happiness.
5
I never liked my looks. That's probably why I've always had long hair to hide my face. I hated my high cheekbones, I just thought I looked weird. I've inherited my dad's big nose and I still hate to see my profile. I felt ugly, really ugly.
6
I wasn't into one-night stands, I was quite shy sexually. That's the way I was raised. My first boyfriend, God, I would puke at just the thought of sex. It took me a long time to be comfortable about that.
7
I gave £20 to a fortune-teller in Yorkshire and I believe what she said as she came up with things no one else would know.
8
I have become the Eddie the Eagle of television.
9
People tell me they like me because I'm like them. I mean, I hate smells and maggots and things, and if I see an animal in a really horrible state, I don't even pretend to be tough and professional - I just go and scream along with the clients!
10
I've worked hard to get rid of the bimbo image. People now accept me as I am. I can be a giggly blonde as well as doing a good job. In Britain being blonde seems to be such a big thing, but in Norway it's nothing because there are so many of us.
11
I did consider counseling. One boyfriend suggested it because he said I was too nice. He kept on treating me really badly and said it was because I was too easy-going and no challenge. I thought that was awful. I mean, I am easy-going, but people have to accept me for that.
12
I had one particular cat which was mine only and she tended to bring in a lot of prey for me as presents, like mice and chickens she'd managed to grab hold of. I never had pets like rabbits or guinea pigs - just this cat who brought me half-chewed animals!
13
I have a lot of male friends and there are many things women can learn by talking to men, and vice versa.
14
When I was growing up in Norway I was never a fussy eater but I did have a problem with the pig's trotters my dad cooked. Imagine this little girl who loved animals suddenly presented with soup with trotters sticking out!
