Police released Gatti's widow, Amanda Rodrigues, after police ruled that Gatti killed himself. The coroner's report said Gatti may have killed himself as he was found "suspended and hanged" while not excluding the possibility that he was slain, but it said he also could have died in an unexplained accident, or could have committed suicide.
