The success of the show led ABS-CBN head Geny Lopez to offer the duo a record breaking deal to move to ABS-CBN - to the chagrin of Mr. Ira Efren Davis, MBC's manager. To get their services, Geny raised their talent fee to a whooping 20 times.
15Known for her high soprano voice. She is the first soprano who broke through the pop culture successfully in the Philippines.
16She also gained equal success on radio, where she immortalized Ibyang in the radio comedy "Edong Mapangarap," starring Eddie San Jose. It was so successful it spawned the hit 'Sebya' series, including "Sebya, Mahal Kita" and "Nukso ng Nukso." She also did "Ulila ng Bataan" and "Goria at Tekla.".
