His brother Nikki Sudden wrote in July 1999 that Epic Soundtracks was "born during the afternoon of March 23rd 1959 in our parents' bedroom at 34 Chapel View, South Croydon" in Surrey, England. South Croydon (and Croydon) later became part of Greater London in 1965.
