Per Ragnar was born on May 29, 1941 in Kalmar, Kalmar län, Sweden as Per-Erik Ragnar. He is an actor and director, known for Let the Right One In (2008), Storm (2005) and Korridoren (1968). He has been married to Veronica Ragnar (née Tigerhjärta) since 2000. They have one child.
A graduate from Dramatens elevskola (Royal Dramatic Theatre's acting school) in Stockholm, where he trained acting 1962-1965.

Worked for a number of years as director's assistant to Ingmar Bergman on several of his stage productions at Dramaten, a.o. on his legendary 1966 stage production of the Peter Weiss play "The Investigation".
