Tetsuya Saruwatari (????, Saruwatari Tetsuya, born June 25, 1958) is a Japanese manga artist. He is born in ?muta, Fukuoka prefecture, Japan. After dropping out of high school, he worked as assistant of Hiramatsu Shinji and Motomiya Hiroshi. He made the debut as solo manga artist with ????(Umi No Senshi) on Weekly Sh?nen Jump. Tetsuya Saruwatari is perhaps best known in Japan for his violent action comic Tough which has been running in the manga anthology, Young Jump for well over a decade.
