Mircea Albulescu (Romanian pronunciation: [ˈmirt͡ʃe̯a albuˈlesku]; real name Iorgu Constantin Albulescu) is a Romanian actor, university professor (Doctor of Arts), journalist, poet, writer of prose, member of the Writers' Union of Romania (Uniunea Scriitorilor). He was born as Iorgu Constantin V. Albulescu, in Bucharest, on 4 October 1934. He graduated from the Secondary School of Architecture in 1952, and in 1956 he graduated from the Institute of Theatrical and Cinematographic Art in Bucharest.
Buried on 10th April 2016 with military honors in the cemetery Colentina (Reinvierea) in Bucharest, Romania.

He played in hundreds of plays on the stages of the Bucharest Municipal Theater, the Comedy Theater, and the National Theater in Bucharest. His career also included 70 films, many of them directed by director Sergiu Nicolaescu, and 300 roles in radio theater.

He graduated from the Technical High School of Architecture in 1952. He was admitted at the Theatre and Cinema Art Institute in 1952, in the class of Professor Aura Buzescu, and graduated in 1956. He got his PhD in Radio Theatre with a thesis on the 'Convertibility of acting expression means in the process of creation', and later taught acting art at the same Institute, from 1985 to 2005.
