Mel Ziegler and his wife Patricia Ziegler were the founders of Banana Republic.Along with William Rosenzweig, they also co-founded the Republic of Tea. They eventually sold both companies.The Zieglers subsequently founded another apparel company, Zoza, but this eventually failed.
