Maxx Payne was born on October 3, 1961 in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA as Darryl Peterson. He is an actor, known for Rogue Trip: Vacation 2012 (1998), The Substitute 3: Winner Takes All (1999) and A Town Has Turned to Dust (1998).
Darryl Peterson debuted in the WWF as Man Mountain Rock, a guitar playing character. Man Mountain Rock would bring an electric guitar (in the shape of a WWF logo,) to the ring. The Man Mountain Rock gimmick did not last very long as Vince McMahon said the Maxx Payne gimmick was too similar to The Undertaker's character. The only notable feud Man Mountain Rock had was with Bob Backlund who did not care for his music. Darryl Peterson soon left the wrestling scene for good.

In 1993 to 1994 Maxx Payne & Cactus Jack were involved in a brutal feud with the Nasty Boys and won The WCW Tag Team Titles together.

Peterson retired from the sport shortly thereafter to pursue a music career.

On April 17, 2004, Darryl gave speech about pro wrestling in Gooding, ID at the Schubert Theater at the Western States College for the Performing Arts.
