Marcia Rodd (born July 8, 1940) is an American actress.Rodd was born in Lyons, Kansas, the daughter of Rosetta (née Thran) and Charles C. Rodd. She studied drama at Northwestern University.In the 1950s, she moved to New York City and performed on stage. Rodd spent the 1960s appearing on Broadway in such plays as Neil Simon's The Last of the Red Hot Lovers. In 1971, she appeared in the drama film T.R. Baskin with Candice Bergen and the black comedy Little Murders opposite Elliott Gould.During the 1970s, she appeared in several films and made-for-television productions, and continued making appearances on television shows through the next three decades. One of these appearances was as Carol Traynor, the role later played by actress Adrienne Barbeau in an episode of All in the Family which was the pilot for the subsequent series, Maude.She also made an appearance on the series M*A*S*H as Captain Lorraine Anderson, a nurse who was a former classmate of Major Margaret Houlihan (Loretta Swit). Anderson accompanied Roy Dupree (George Lindsey) during a staff switch, in which she reestablished ties with Margaret and became friends with Major Charles Emerson Winchester III.Her most recent roles were in the 2003 episode of the television series Without a Trace and the 2012 short film Parallax.
Was the original choice for the role of Bea Arthur's daughter, Carol Traynor, on "Maude." She even went as far as to appear on the pilot episode of the series, which was featured on "All in the Family." However, when filming began, Rodd turned down the role, thus giving the part to well-endowed Adrienne Barbeau.

Was nominated for Broadway's 1973 Tony Award as Best Actress (Musical) for "Shelter."

Played silent film comedienne Mabel Normand briefly in the musical "Mack and Mabel" until replaced by singer Kelly Garrett at the insistence of Gower Champion. The show didn't hit Broadway until 1974 with Bernadette Peters handling the part of Mabel.
