Mara McAfee (b. 1929-d. 1984) was an American Pop artist and illustrator best known for her satirical depictions of historical figures, contemporary subjects, and high art traditions. During the 1950s McAfee was also an actress and a dancer who appeared in a number of popular films and television shows.
Probably best remembered for her dead-on imitations of Norman Rockwell's "Saturday Evening Post" illustrations in National Lampoon, usually with less wholesome themes (aging hippies berating their 80s-slacker daughter for coming home late, a housewife dumping a fishbowl over teenagers making out on the couch, and many others).
