Lucy Gordon left two suicide notes before hanging herself in the mansion flat in Paris's 10th arrondissement, at Rue des Petites-Écuries. She shared it with her boyfriend, Jérôme Alméras, who was asleep at the time of her death. He found her body when he woke up on the morning of May 20, 2009. Deeply despondent over the suicide of a friend from Britain recently, she was two days shy of her 29th birthday. According to her neighbours, she was arguing with her boyfriend the night before her death.
