She has guest starred on several present-day television series which include a recurring role on the ABC prime time soap Desperate Housewives as Gabrielle Solis' former maid, Yao Lin. Soong has also appeared on Passions, All About the Andersons, Huff, Coronation Street, Dharma & Greg and According to Jim.She held a minor role in The Prisoner as the flower girl.Soong has also acted in the 2003 remake of Freaky Friday as Pei-Pei's mom.
