Linda Carroll (born 1944) is an American author and a marriage and family therapist. Carroll received national attention in 1993 when she convinced Katherine Ann Power, a patient of hers at the time, to turn herself into authorities after spending twenty-three years eluding police for a bank robbery and murder she had been involved in. Carroll primarily works as a relationship counselor, but also specializes in issues pertinent to LGBT clients.Carroll is the mother of singer and musician Courtney Love, and the daughter of author Paula Fox.
