Collier Young Bio/Wiki, Net Worth, Married 2018

Collier Young (August 19, 1908 – December 25, 1980) was an American film producer and writer, who worked on many films in the 1950s before becoming a television producer for such shows as NBC's Ironside and CBS's The Wild, Wild West as well as the supernatural series One Step Beyond (1959–61).Young was married to actress and director Ida Lupino from 1948 to 1951, and to actress Joan Fontaine from 1952 to 1961; both marriages ended in divorce. His film production credits included Outrage and The Hitch-Hiker, both with Lupino as director. After his divorce from Lupino, he was executive director of her 1957–1958 CBS sitcom Mr. Adams and Eve, co-starring Lupino's then husband Howard Duff.In 1969 Young planned a film called The Todd Dossier, based on a story by Joan Didion and John Gregory Dunne and novelised by Robert Bloch. The film was never made; Bloch, who had contracted for a paperback release, was shocked to learn that the producer had placed his own name on the book as author when it was published in hardcover editions (by Delacorte Press in the USA and by Macmillan in the UK).Young died on Christmas Day 1980 from a road accident at the age of 72.
