Roger Hammond was born on March 21, 1936 in Stockport, Greater Manchester, England as John Roger Hammond. He was an actor, known for The King's Speech (2010), Around the World in 80 Days (2004) and Bedazzled (2000). He was married to Helen Weir. He died on November 8, 2012 in Ealing, London, England.
He twice played a doctor to the King of England: first in The Madness of King George (1994) and finally in The King's Speech (2010) (to Prince Albert who would become king). In both instances, the role called for an establishment doctor whose prescriptions didn't work.
