Jerzy Turowicz was born on December 10, 1912 in Krakau, Galicia, Austria-Hungary [now Kraków, Malopolskie, Poland]. He was an actor, known for Zwyczajna dobroc (1998), Wszystko na sprzedaz (1969) and Chopin. Pragnienie milosci (2002). He died on January 27, 1999 in Kraków, Malopolskie, Poland.
With his wife, Anna Gasiorowska, he is the grandfather of cinematographer Lukasz Jogalla and the great-grandfather of American actor Pico Alexander. His son-in-law is actor Jerzy Jogalla.
