Gilbert C. "Gil" Gerard is an American actor, most notable for his role as Captain William "Buck" Rogers in the 1979–1981 television series Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.

However, he has recently undergone a form of weight loss surgery known as a mini-gastric bypass, and has since lost over 150 pounds and improved his health dramatically.
