Berta Drews was born on November 19, 1901 in Berlin, Germany as Berta Helene Drews. She was an actress, known for The Tin Drum (1979), It Happened in Broad Daylight (1958) and Jedermannstraße 11 (1962). She was married to Heinrich George. She died on April 10, 1987 in West Berlin, West Germany.
A teacher's daughter, she studied singing in Berlin in 1920 with the intention of becoming an opera singer. Her voice was deemed to be unsuitable and she became an actress instead.
