Hong Thi Tran (born May 5, 1966) was a candidate in the Washington Democratic Party primary election for the United States Senate in 2006, challenging incumbent Maria Cantwell. Tran received more than five percent of the Democratic vote, and her differing views from those of Maria Cantwell (on the Iraq War in particular) drew the attention of the news media and local progressives.
