Leslie Lee Alexander (born 1944) is an American businessman and financier. Alexander was raised in a Jewish family In New Jersey. From 1978 to 2009, Alexander was an associate of the California State Bar. He began his career trading options and bonds for the Wall Street business, Lawrence Kotkin Associates. He also possesses a 20% position in First Marblehead, a private student loan business. Alexander purchased the Rockets in July 1993. They repeated as champions in 1995. A fresh stadium, the Toyota Center, was started in 2003. He was named the top owner in the NBA by Forbes in 2008. He also possesses a winery on Long Island as well as the associated business Leslie Wine, found in 2008. He also has a home in Houston.
