#Trademark
1The voice of Captain Hook/Mr. Darling in Peter Pan (1953)
2Unique and slightly gravelled voice
#Fact
1He lived in an older, almost gothic-style house in North Hollywood, California.
2He became familiar to young TV viewers, in 1955, as the comical but heroic "Thimblerig" in "Davy Crockett At The Alamo" (1955), later released in theaters as "Davy Crockett King Of The Wild Frontier"(1955)". It was one of the highest rated shows of the 1950s.
3Father of Trilby Conried.
4His father was a Jewish immigrant from Austria and his Connecticut-born mother was descended from Pilgrims.
5Known for portrayal of Uncle Tonoose on Make Room for Daddy (1953) (aka "The Danny Thomas Show").
6Stage productions of "Peter Pan" have a tradition of casting the same actor as both Mr. Darling and Captain Hook. Conried played both roles in the animated Walt Disney adaptation, becoming the first actor to play both roles on film.
7His distinctive voice made him a popular radio performer during the 1930s and 1940s. In the following four decades he had a lucrative second career doing voice work for animated feature films and television productions.
8Best known as the voice of Captain Hook in Peter Pan (1953).
9Body donated to medical science.
