Halina Reijn (born 10 November 1975 in Amsterdam) is a Dutch actress and writer.Halina Reijn was professionally trained at the Maastricht Academy of Dramatic Arts. While still a student, she was asked to join the ensemble at the Theatercompagnie where she had leading roles in plays such as Hamlet (as Ophelia) and Shopping and Fucking (as Lulu) for which she received the prestigious Dutch theater prize, the Colombina, as "Best Supporting Actress" in 1998. In 2003 she joined the ensemble at Toneelgroep Amsterdam. With Toneelgroep Amsterdam, Halina Reijn has performed main roles in The Taming of the Shrew, Hedda Gabler, Oresteia and Mourning Becomes Electra, for which she was nominated for a Theo d'Or for “Best Female Actress”.Halina Reijn has performed on the big screen in the Oscar-nominated Zus & Zo (Paula van der Oest), A Father's Affair (Maarten Teurniet), and Grimm (Alex van Warmerdam).In 2006 she starred in A Thousand Kisses directed by Willem van de Sande Bakhuijzen, Black Book directed by Paul Verhoeven (the Dutch entry for the Academy Awards as Best Foreign Language Film) and Blind by Tamar van den Dop. In 2008, she portrayed Margarethe von Oven in Valkyrie starring Tom Cruise.

Starred in a 12-minute pilot of a film titled "Theresa Immaculata", directed by Ramón Gieling in 2011, co-starring opposite Sylvia Hoeks and Matthias Schoenaerts (her co-star in Black Book (2006) and Nadine (2007)). The film was never made but a 7-minute video of the pilot can be found on Youtube.

Her mother went to the Academy of Fine Arts in Tilburg and earned the diplomas MO-A and -B in drawing, painting, art appreciation, etc, and taught at the K & D and NXX training in Amsterdam from 1966 to 1972. Between 1970 and 1986, then known as Hamida, she did experimental work in textiles and wool, both spatial and two-dimensional, and the city of Amsterdam has bought her work from that period, which was also exhibited in the Oosterpoort in Groningen, in the theater in Veendam and in Germany (Leer and Emden). From 1986 to 1996 she took place as an art therapist and worked as a creative therapist, now having a practice at home.

Daughter of Frank Volkert Reijn, who died in 1986, and wife, whom he married in 1972, Fleur ten Kate, who was born in Velp in 1942, both artists.
