Elisabeth Mann Borgese, Template:Post-nominals (April 24, 1918 – February 8, 2002) was an internationally recognized expert on maritime law and policy and the protection of the environment. She was one of the founding members – and for a long time the only female member – of the Club of Rome and worked as a university professor at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada.
Although she was one of the founding members of the Club of Rome and a recognized expert on maritime law and policy, she became prominent in Germany only shortly before her death, due to her appearance on the acclaimed mini series about her family (2001).
