Edna Schmidt (born August 8, 1969) is a journalist who was a news anchor for Noticiero Univision Edición Nocturna. The journalist, who is of Puerto Rican descent, covered the September 11, 2001 World Trade Center attacks, the panic caused by the anthrax threat and the execution of the Oklahoma bomber Timothy McVeigh.
On September 25, 2005 was officially named CoHost of Univision's News Weekend Editions after María Antonieta Collins decided not to renew her contract with Univision Networks were she worked for 19 years.
