Douglas Keith Scott CBE, known as Doug Scott (born 29 May 1941), is an English mountaineer noted for the first ascent of the south-west face of Mount Everest on 24 September 1975. Scott and Dougal Haston were the first Britons to climb Everest during this expedition (discounting Mallory and Irvine). In receiving one of mountaineering's highest honours, the Lifetime Achievement Piolet d'Or, his personal style and climbs were described as "visionary".
When he was 12, he went to Los Angeles Star Search and won earning him the role of Danny Dahlberg in The Day After (1983). He thought of making that movie as one of the most fun times in his life.

Later on in his life, he owned and operated a company brokering freight worldwide.
