The inspiration for the TV series Cutting It (2002) came from her twin sisters, who once owed a hair salon near Manchester in England and entered lots of hairdressing competitions. Her sisters were also the inspiration behind the television mini-series Sex, Chips & Rock n' Roll (1999).
