For many years it was erroneously believed that he had provided the voice for the Rulon character, Rasp in Dino-Riders (1988). To the extent that it was even reported in "ToyFare" magazine at one time. There are still conflicting reports as to who actually provided the voice for Rasp. It is believed to either have been Frank Welker or Charles Adler. In truth, Latta had no involvement with the series at all.

Was a prominent voice actor in the 1980s, most notably doing multiple voices for G.I. Joe (1985) (where he voiced the evil Cobra Commander and the heroic grunt Gung Ho, among others) and The Transformers (1984) (where he voiced the treacherous Starscream, Reflector, and the Autobot Wheeljack, among others).
